Kwa-Thema – Born and raised in Kwa-Thema Thamsanqa Nogaga, popularly known as Savage Sossa, is one musician to keep an eye on.

Being part of a school choir is where he found his love for music.

“From there I knew I wanted to be a music mogul who will be acknowledged globally using my God given talents.

“I started writing lyrics back in high school and as they say the more you do it the better you become, which is something I have been doing over the years.

“The name Savage I earned with the performance of my first song entitled The Dope Sh!t. I later added Sossa who is a character from the movie Scarface,” says Sossa.

“I got to perform in Durban, Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Mpumalanga and other parts of the country.

“The tour got great publicity as it was televised on national television which is where I think people started to see me from.

“We did a lot of radio interviews as well. I can’t forget those moments as they helped shape the artist I am at the moment,” explains Sossa.

In 2011 he toured with Bongo Riot, he has worked with the likes of Omen, Hoodlum, Gang of Instrumentals, Sifiso Mbebe, Bantu Soul, KBM Music, BattleKat, Narco.

“The plan is to push the album until the wheels fall off because there are lots of singles within that one body of work.

“People love it, which is why we are working hard to put it on radio and digital platforms.

“At the moment we are promoting Lose my Mind from the debut album. We were meant to have shot the music video by now, but due to the Covid-19 outbreak and lockdown we were forced to place that on hold,” he adds.
