KwaThema police officers receive awards

“We are hoping this recognition will encourage others, especially junior officers, to work hard,” he says.

KwaThema – Hardworking police officials from KwaThema Police Station were honoured for their hard work last week Thursday.

KwaThema police spokesperson Const Media Khoza says these are selfless and dedicated members who have the community’s interest at heart and serve with pride and dignity as they guided by the constitution of the country.

“Members who were rewarded are from various components, including the detective services, where Det Const Hilgard Nene was named the Best Investigating Officer of the Year.

“This follows after he successfully investigated the case of business and taxi owner Themba Ndlozi, who was sentenced to 70 years’ imprisonment for killing Refiloe Moshime and Thuto Theko.

“Through the years in service, he dedicated himself fully to many other cases, which saw criminals being removed from the streets of KwaThema.

“The other officers who received awards includes Capt Isaac Ramatladi, WO Marthinus Prins, PR Ina Nell, Sgt Percy Mabanga, Const Prudence

KwaThema SAPS acting station commander Lt Col Nhlanhla Kunene congratulated the officers and urged them to continue working hard to ensure KwaThema is a safe community.
