New Tsakane CPF committee dedicate themselves to fighting crime

“It is important that the community work hand in glove with the police because we will not win the fight against crime working as an island."

Tsakane – Residents of Tsakane elected new members of the Tsakane CPF committee recently.

The group has promised to dedicate themselves to fighting crime and substance abuse in the area.

The new committee officially took over from the former CPF executive, saying they are ready to serve the community of Tsakane with pride and dedication.

Tsakane SAPS station commander Col Johannes Maass welcomed the new team, informing them that local officers will be there to work with them in fighting crime.

“We applaud the residents for being selfless and availing themselves to serve the community.

“This shows that they care about the safety of their communities and working with in the police.

“It is important that the community work hand in glove with the police because we will not win the fight against crime working as an island.

“Residents know these criminals and where they hide; through our partnership we will be able to rid our streets of crime,” he adds.

Maass urged members of the community to support the new committee in carrying out their duties.

The CPF is a joint venture between the community and police with one objective – to fight crime.

The forum consists of different stakeholders, including business people, faith-based organisations and others.
