Ace Auto Ayoba crowned league champions

The team coach Tshepo Nkabinde (21) says winning the league for the second time in a row is something worth celebrating about.

KwaThema – After achieving a record, 24 games without defeat, the Ace Auto Ayoba under-17 team were crowned the champions of the SAFA Ekurhuleni regional league on Saturday at the KwaThema Stadium.

The team coach Tshepo Nkabinde (21) says winning the league for the second time in a row is something worth celebrating about.

“I am extremely happy and proud of the team and everyone who has worked with us. I want the team to play at the Gauteng development league and I strongly believe that we will reach that level.

We have to remain humble, disciplined and keep on working hard,” says Nkabinde.

Celebrations all around as the Ace Auto Ayoba under-17 team takes the trophy home.

He adds that it is important for players to focus on their academic work as well, especially with exams in full force.

Team captain Thando Makhathini (16) says, “I believe we are technically superior which helped us a lot.
