Mighty Movers claim victory at the Tall Tree National Spring Netball Tournament

The tournament is for promoting and developing young talented individuals from various townships.

Langaville – Local netball club Mighty Movers were crowned champions at the Tall Tree National Spring Netball Tournament.

The tournament is for promoting and developing young talented individuals from various townships.

Might Movers u-15 and u-17 teams took the number one spot and walked away with gold medals and trophies.

The tournament took place in Soshanguve from September 23 to September 27.

Overall there we eight teams per category.

Ward 79 sport coordinator Eddy Moejaeji said they are thankful to all stakeholders and the community for supporting them, but they are still facing major challenges.

“We are thankful to everyone who lends a helping hand. We are open to any kind of help from local businesses and community members.

“At this point we need sponsors to help us with food, transport money for away games, netball equipment and kits,” says Moejaeji.

Team coach Maki Cinti says she is pleased with how her team has performed and that this is preparation for the upcoming netball tournament which will be held at the KwaThema Complex.

Nonceba Mtsweni (16), the team captain, says, “It was a challenge but I am happy with the outcome of the tournament. We played very well as a team and I am truly thankful to my teammates.”
