Tsakane –A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a 10-year-old girl at the Ratanda Hostel on Monday.
It is alleged that the girl was raped at about 4.30pm at block 3 at the hostel.
KwaThema police spokesperson, Const Media Khoza says the suspect was traced and later arrested by the police. He is detained at Ratanda SAPS.

“He will appear in the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of rape.
“Police are warning parents to ensure the safety of their children by knowing their whereabouts while they are playing. Also check on them timeously.
“The community is encouraged to report cases of rape immediately to the police as this will enable them to collect more evidence that will lead to successful prosecution of the alleged suspect,” she says.
