Cases of violence on the increase in Tsakane

Maass adds that assault can lead to a murder case, which might end up disrupting both parties' lives negatively.

Tsakane – Police in the area are concerned about the increase in cases of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH).

Tsakane SAPS station commander Col Johannes Maass expressed his disappointment about residents who are assaulted daily by people in their lives.

“I am appealing to the residents to not take the law into their own hands, but to find ways to resolve differences without harming the other.

“People do have differences, but that doesn’t mean one has to assault in the process.

“If you are unable to resolve the matter in a civil manner, find a third party or seek legal assistance, even the local police, for intervention.

“There is no problem that cannot be resolved,” he says.
