KwaThema – Work has resumed at the R1-million park construction project in Highland Eco-park, Ward 78, on Monday.

This was after workers downed tools last week Monday after allegedly not receiving pay for two months.

The project started on May 13 and was expected to be completed by June 28. The completion has been delayed for another week.

Ward 78 Clr Zanele Nyakale confirmed that the workers have gone back to work.

“We are hoping that there won’t be more delays on the construction, so that we can handover the park to the community soon.

“We remains is the installation of the eco-gym machines and the planting of the lawn,” she says.
