Xhasanani Business Forum helps KwaThema entrepreneurs with funding

“We are encouraging the youth to go into business because not only will they be employing themselves, but other people too.”

KwaThema – Xhasanani Business Forum is inviting small business owners to their Youth Business Development Summit on June 26 at 9am.

Founder and chairperson of Xhasanani Mandla Sibeko says the purpose of the summit is to introduce business owners to possible investors.

“We have seen that people write business plans and are unsuccessful when they apply for funding,” he explains.

The funders will present their requirements to the entrepreneurs so they can adjust their applications for funding.

Sibeko says it is important for organisations like Xhasanani to host such events, especially in light of the 55 per cent youth unemployment rate.

“We are encouraging the youth to go into business because not only will they be employing themselves, but other people too,” he says.

The event is in line with the reason Xhasanani was founded.

“We started Xhasanani in May 2018 because we noticed how there are so many businesses in KwaThema that people do not know about.

“We intend to start a business hub in KwaThema where we can use our knowledge and expertise to help budding businesses succeed,” he concludes.
