According to one of the event organisers, Kgosi Mariri, the clothes will be handed out to homeless people in Springs with others donated to NGOs in the area the group is still trying to source.

“Many homeless people in Springs are from nearby areas such as KwaThema, so it only makes sense to give out the clothes to them.

“We are also looking for homes and NGOs in our community that need food, blankets and clothes.” he says.

Rapper and one of the organisers, Leago Moganedi, says it is important for them as young musicians to use whatever influence they have to bring a change in their communities.

“We looked around our community and noticed many people are suffering without much help, so we decided to come together to help them,” says Leago.

The concert, which is being held for the second year, will start at 10am.
