Three arrested in Duduza for selling drugs

“There will be no tolerance for crime in the area. "Members are motivated to ensure the safety of the community.”

Duduza- Three men have been arrested for dealing in drugs and another for being in possession of stolen goods in the area on Tuesday.

The first two men, aged 31 and 37, had a rude awakening when the police pounced on them at their places of residence around 6.30 am.

Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka says the two were found with 13 Mandrax tablets and 17 pieces of Nyaope respectively.

“Police also seized cash from their premises which is believed to have been derived from selling the drugs.

“The arrests follow intensive surveys and observations of the suspects by members of the Duduza crime prevention members,” explains Manaka.

In another incident, another male suspect was arrested for being in possession of drugs and another arrested for possession of suspected stolen property after he was found in possession of railway railings.

Duduza SAPS station commander Lt Col Bheki Mhlungu commended the hard work done by the members of the police.
