Future Football Club is looking for soccer players in Tsakane

Players with experience can get exposure while playing for the teams, as two of their players were scouted by Orlando Pirates and three others attended trials with Banyana Banyana.

Tsakane – Tsakane’s Future Football Club, which caters for players between the age of seven and 25, is looking for you.

The team, which was established in 2017, boasts with more than 80 players, including men and women.

“Our team caters for all genders and participates in leagues like the Janine van Wyk Girl’s Football Development League, where we placed second, and the Tsakane Football League, where we placed seventh,” says Venacio Ngobeni, head coach of Future FC.

The team recently received sponsorship from Solly Motor Spares in Springs through the efforts of a father of one of their players.

“We are so grateful to Solly Motor Spares who have sponsored us with a kit, soccer balls, costs involved with away games and food at those games,” Ngobeni says.

He says it is important for the youth to be involved in sports because it keeps them busy.

“Sport is very important because it keeps the youth busy and away from negative things like crime and substance abuse, which is rife in our society,” he adds.

Ngobeni says the team is always open to new members and accepts players with experience and those who have never played soccer in their lives.

“We are always looking to take in members, especially those who have never played soccer because it will expose them to something they have never tried,” he says.

“The advantage of being part of our team is being able to be spotted by big teams, like Katlego Makoe and Kelvin Mtshweni, who now play for Orlando Pirates Development under Augusto Palacios, and Lebogang Chego, Kamohelo Sibande and Basetsana Sekano, who trialled with Banyana Banyana,” he concludes.
