Great turnout at the boxing tournament in Mall

The Bert Collins Boxing Club had a boxing tournament on Freedom Day (April 27) and it was held at the Springs Mall. It was attended by a lot of spectators in the Mr Price court.
Boxers from different teams participated and the tournament had both female and male referees and boxers. The participants were of different age groups starting from the u-10 to the u-20 categories.
The results for the ladies’ bouts are as follows:
Geannè Dicks (17) from Bert Collins Boxing Club, a learner of Die Anker Hoërskool, spaared against Chantel Erasmus (19) from Eagles in Brakpan.
They both spaared very well and were elected to represent Ekurhuleni Boxing Organisation at the Gauteng Elite and Youth Championships in Pretoria during May.
First ladies bout: Chante Gaugain (17) from Alberton Boxing Club vs Lungile Sopazi (15) from Sonrise Boxing Club.
Chante won on a referee stop contest (RSC).
Second Ladies bout: Anuahka Deysel from Brakpan vs Logan Lombaard from Eden Park Boxing Club. Logan also won on a RSC.
Third Ladies bout: Daniella Floyd from South Hills vs Shanon lee Jacobs from Bert Collins.
