Young boys called to join dance classes

“Ballroom has many routines that help one with fitness and muscle memory.”

KwaThema – Our Tango Dance School is inviting young boys to join their classes every Sunday at the Soup Kitchen.

The centre has through different initiatives attracted more girls to the school but now they don’t have partners.

Dance instructor Penwell Nhlapo says the response by the young people to join the dance classes are promising and attracting girls more than boys.

“The aim of the dance classes is to get more children involved in sport, arts and culture so that the energy they have can be used in activities that channel their energy positively.

“We also need parents to support their children in sport, arts and culture,” he says.

Penwell says they are also encouraging adults and senior citizens to join the club to keep active and fit.

“Ballroom has many routines that help one with fitness and muscle memory.
