Woman raped and offered R150

“She did not accept the money and went to the Tsakane police to report the matter."

Tsakane – 32-year-old woman was raped and given R150 by two men on Saturday evening.

The victim was attending a traditional ceremony when a man who was also there proposed love but the victim refused.

In the evening he called her to towards the gate to speak to her in private, but before she knew he started dragging her.

Another man who is a friend of the suspect came out of the blue and helped the accused drag her to a nearby house.

KwaThema police spokesperson, Const Media Khoza, says the woman tried to scream but no one came to her rescue.

“They allegedly pushed her on the lawn and started strangling her and was overpowered and could not fight back and the accused undressed and raped her.”

Media says that after the rape, they ordered her to stop crying and gave her R150.

“She did not accept the money and went to the Tsakane Police Station to report the matter.

“No arrest has been made and the police investigations are underway. We are calling anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects to come forward,” she says.
