Hip-hop singer releases new single

KwaThema – Local hip-hop star Phumulo “Physical Da Animal” Malatsi has released his latest single titled Asambeni featuring Young Stunna.
The 29-year-old broke into the music industry aged (9) when he wrote his first song titled abomahlalela.
“I wrote more songs while still in school and rehearsed during school hours making beats on school desks with his friends.
“In 2009, we formed a group of four members called VUR-VAI.
“I was inspired by life and music of artists like Mzambiya/Msawawa and later grew in love with Pro Kid and Zola,” he explains.

In 2013 he released his first album, Done Deal, and got nominated in the SAFUA (Streets Are Fed Up Awards) for best male artist and best vernac rapper.
“I won the best vernac rapper in the awards in 2013 and 2014.
“I am currently working on another single which will be released through Kingdom Entertainment later this year.
“Asambeni single is available on digital stores like iTunes, Google play store, Amazon music, Deezer, Spotify and YouTube,” he adds.
