Poet releases new album

KwaThema – Local poet Siyabonga ‘Mshishi, The Poet’ Qwabe has released his second album, Ubuciko Beciko Chapter Two.
The album is made up of 12 poems narrated in indigenous languages.
Siyabonga says he started composing as a young boy growing up in the rural villages of the Eastern Cape.

“I decided to record my poems in 2008 when I released my first album, Ubuciko Beciko Chapter One.
“I use words to praise heroes, appreciate nature, the beauty of life in general and anything affecting us daily.
“I also use poems to encourage young people to respect their elders and peers,” he adds.
