Today wings, portraits and infinity sign tattoos are big. Each decade has had popular tats, from sleeves during the 70s to Celtic knots during the 80s.
Here are the top five common tats of the 90s.
- Barbwire
This tattoo was made popular by Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson.
- Sun
Who could forget the fad of those with a sun tattoo?
- Chinese symbols
Ah, the Chinese writing tattoos. Many had the symbol for strength, hope and love tattooed, not knowing if it was the correct symbol.
- Tribal
Tribal design tattoos were all the rage during the 90s. These later led to lower back tattoos which incorporated tribal designs.
- Upper arm
Upper arm tattoos were big during this decade.
