Grade 11 girls at Tlakula Secondary School receive reusable Palesa pads.

The pads can be washed and reused for up to five years.

KwaThema – The Grade 11 girls of Tlakula Secondary School had a bright start to their year after a visit from Palesa Pads.

The visit was sponsored by Halos and Hope, an organisation that is dedicated to assisting the less fortunate and the welfare of animals.

Palesa pads delivered 130 packs with a three pad combo of Palesa Reusable Sanitary Pads.

The pads can be washed and reused for up to five years.

An absence of chemicals in the pads in the pads results in fewer skin irritations.

The girls were shown how to use the pads by CEO of Palesa Pads, Sherie de Wet, with the aid of team players, Lindsey Tigere and Sibusiso Kubheka.

Omphemetse Plaatjies, the business development director of Palesa Pads says that their visit to the school came after an urgent request from the principal of Tlakula Secondary School, Jabulani Mnguni.

“The pads will change the lives of the girls because for the next five years they do not have to worry about buying pads,” Plaatjies concluded.
