Langaville – Bazingeli Rovers u-15 have won the Brakpan Local Football Association League

“We are proud of the boys because they worked hard to collect the silver wear, playing 13 games and only losing one game,” says coach Tsietsi Motsoagae.

The league decider game was played against Maestro Soccer Team, and the boys outshined the stream B leaders with a 4-1 win.

“Balancing school and sports is a very difficult task since both the activities are selfish, they both require a lot of time.

“But through the support of the boys’ parents, we managed to balance both the activities and the hard work paid off.

“We are very grateful for the support we received from the parents and the community of Langaville Extension Eight.

“They always came out in numbers to support us at our home games.

“We now look forward to competing in the regional league.”

In December, Bazingeli Rovers won the Defy Ekurhuleni Games unexpectedly.

“We just went to gain experience as a new team and we came back with the trophy and R100 000 instead,” said Vusi Khumalo, the club’s owner.

The tournament, hosted by the Ekurhuleni Goodwill Committee, in conjunction with the local football association, took place from December 16 to 30, 2017.

He said most of the boys on the team had never even played in a tournament of this kind before, but they seem to be getting stronger.
