KwaThema team to particpate in Soncini games

“It is now up to them to represent the team and bring gold home in the Socini games next year.”

KwaThema – Sports players from KwaThema Disability Sports Academy will participated in the Ekurhuleni OR Tambo Soncini Social CohesionGames at the Germiston Stadium this Saturday.

The top players will be selected to be part of the squad to represent Gauteng in the Tri-Colour Games in Italy in July 2019.

Team coach, Aubrey Mathibela, says the players will participate in the 100m, 200mm, short put, javelin and long jump events.

“Luvuyo Tabata will be participating in the 100m, 200m and the long jump while Nkululeko Nhlangewa will compete in the short put and javelin events.

“Mbali Dlamini will be competing in the long jump, 200m and 100m while Njabulo Sengwayo and Kamogelo Tsotetsi will be in the javelin and short put competition,” he explains.

Aubrey says they are hoping young players will be part of the team to be selected for the 2019 Soncini Games in Italy.

“The players have been working hard to ensure that they are ready for the games.

“It is now up to them to represent the team and bring gold home next year.”
