KwaThema – KwaThema Ministers’ Fellowship invites the community to their third annual community prayer meeting.

The theme for this year’s meeting is ‘Our authority in Christ’.

“We want people to understand that we are praying from the position of strength and not as victims,” explains Pastor Mapule More, the organisation’s chairperson.

She says the community needs to stand united against the evident moral degeneration.

“We have prayed against the killing of women and children in our community, crime and drugs, the rate of divorce and safety in schools.

“And we will not stop until we see the results.”

More says ministers and other community leaders cannot stand by and watch as the people they lead get consumed by all social ills.

“It is our business because we are also affected by these social ills.

“We also live in the same communities,” she adds.

The event started on Monday at the Apostolic Faith Mission, Malaza Street.

The closing service will be held today, at 6pm.

“Let us conclude with a bang.

We invite everyone to come out and pray with us for the well-being of our community.”
