Springs Taxi Association joins forces with Santaco

The Springs Taxi Association has joined the South Africa National Taxi Council (SANTACO).

Santaco provides legal advice, help sort out operational issues, oversee the election and training of executive members and resolve conflicts with its members and operates at a regional, provincial and national level.

The local association, as well as members of the Santaco leadership and various taxi associations around Gauteng, gathered at the Springs main taxi rank to start the branding of the cars and taxis with the Santaco logo.

The process to brand the cars and taxis will take a while as the association has approximately 600 members.

“This is what our members wanted, and we have to carry their mandate forward.

“It was not an easy route, but it was worth it,” says Springs Taxi Association chairman Leonard Molo.

The stickers that will soon be on all the Springs Taxi Association’s taxis.

Regional Chairman of Santaco Peter Mashego was pleased with the association joining their ranks.

“There are 19 associations in Ekurhuleni. Thank you for choosing Santaco.

“Going forward, because there is communication between us and we will be working together, it will be easier to address serious challenges,” says Mashego.
