Win tickets to Iron Maiden!

The Citizen is giving away 10 double tickets to check out Iron Maiden this Saturday at Carnival City’s Festival Lawns.

Tickets to international rock band Iron Maiden’s show at Carnival City this month are selling fast.

The concert on Carnival City’s Festival Lawns on Saturday is one of only two shows the band will perform during the South African leg of The Book of Souls World Tour.

Tickets to the concert are available at Computicket and range from R620 to R905 per person.

Iron Maiden will perform songs from their latest studio album, The Book of Souls, which debuted at number four in South Africa in September 2015.

Vocalist Bruce Dickinson has promised to include some old fan favourites in the set.

“I think the fans will be delighted by what we have in mind. We are creating a new show and, rest assured, we are working hard to bring you all something spectacular, something with a lot of heart,” says Dickinson.

Iron Maiden’s support band on The Book of Souls world tour is The Raven Age, which has been playing shows across Europe with bands such as Mastodon, Gojira, Delain, Rival State, Voodoo Six, Wolf, Santa Cruz and British Lion.

In 2014, the band released their debut album, which shot to number one in the Amazon Hot New Releases Chart, and number 16 on the Top 100 Best Sellers in the Rock & Metal Chart on Amazon.

The Citizen also covered the competition Barney Simon held to pick the South African band that will open for Iron Maiden. You can read about that here.

To enter, SMS the keyword IRONMAIDEN, plus your full name and suburb to 33521. SMSes are charged at R1.50 (entries are restricted to cellphone entries only) and the competition closes at midnight tonight (19 May).
