A resident of Witpoortjie, on the West Rand, has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying suspects after he and his family were robbed at their home last month.
In a Facebook post, Kholiwe KaMbatha said he was forced at gunpoint by the robbers to remove his clothes before being dragged around naked in front of his family. His mother and brother had their hands and feet tied and were made to lie face down, Roodepoort Record reported.
The attackers questioned him on where their valuables were kept.
Visuals captured on CCTV cameras show four suspects jumping over the wall around the victim’s property. They are then seen leaving the house carrying various items before driving off in the victim’s Mercedes C180.
The car was later recovered at a shopping complex in Zola, Soweto.
A case has since been opened.
