National spokesperson of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Mbuyiseni Ndlozi says he hopes black people won’t have to slaughter white people in order to restore land.
Ndlozi says that even though “we don’t believe in any genocide of any group to address land question”, the EFF’s policy of land expropriation without compensation “moves from the premise that colonisation was a land crime. To resolve it you must restore land without compensation!”
The party’s spokesperson argues “it is more violent to ask homeless and landless blacks to buy land from whites as a form of democratic solution in the willing seller policy”.
“Point 1: FACT- land in South Africa was taken through the mass butcher/slaughter of black people both under colonization & apartheid.
“2. It’s been 22yrs since 1994. We hope land restoration will not have to come to a situation where blacks have to also slaughter whites.
“Each day blacks are assaulted by red ants, removed from lands they occupy due to landlessness. The state collaborates to deny blacks land.

“7.whoever rejects land expropriation without compensation is asking blacks to accept their status in SA as a defeated & inferior people.
“8.we not calling for any slaughter, but if people think blacks will continue to live in landlessness, then we won’t have to. It will happen!
“9.the reason EFF was formed is to resolve land question democratically, through legislation that expropriates without compensation!
Leader of the EFF Julius Malema caused an outcry when he said the party was not calling for the slaughter of white people, “at least for now”.
“Many think the problem with apartheid was things like separate benches/toilets etc. Land dispossession was the basis of everything colonial.”
Addressing EFF supporters outside the Newcastle Magistrates’ Court in KwaZulu-Natal, where he faces charges of inciting people to occupy privately owned land, Malema said: “We are not calling for the slaughter of white people‚ at least for now … The rightful owners of the land are black people. No white person is a rightful owner of the land here in SA and the whole of the African continent.”

Malema received condemnation for his “violent and threatening language”. The DA’s spokesperson, Phumzile van Damme, said “this violent and threatening language has no place in our constitutional democracy. Indeed, the Constitution is founded on the democratic principles of ‘human dignity, equality and freedom’ and the fact the South Africa belong to all those who live in it”.
Freedom Front Plus also condemned the comments.
