Penuel Mnguni, 24, allegedly told his End Times Disciples Ministries church in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, to take off their clothes before sitting on top of church members and praying for them.
Daily Sun on Friday reported that Mnguni’s congregation began undressing as they felt too hot. He then began preaching about Adam and Eve before quoting verses from the book of Genesis.
According to the paper, Mnguni is the understudy of Rabboni Ministries leader Prophet Lesego Daniel, who made headlines a few years ago for making his congregation eat grass. Last year it came to light that he had begun making church goers drink petrol.
According to the church’s Facebook page, Mnguni, on Thursday night commanded the “temperature to decrease into snow atmosphere”.
“The congregation started to feel coldness in their [bodies] and covered themselves with blankets,” a post said.
During the same service, he reportedly commanded the ‘Spirit of Snakes’ to enter the congregation. They then began slithering on the ground with their tongues out.
