Mpumalanga records 28 New Year’s Day babies

Mothers welcomed their babies on New Year's Day and all are healthy.

On January 1, a total of 28 babies were delivered from midnight to 05:00.

According to the Mpumalanga Department of Health, 16 boys and 12 girls were born.

The first baby of 2024 was delivered at 00:07 by a 17-year-old girl in Matikwana Hospital in Ehlanzeni. She gave birth to a boy.

A total of 14 babies were delivered normally, and four by Caesarean section.
