63 – Joaquim Lupeta is on for the injured Lebusa.

62 – So close to a second for City! Ngoma head’s Kobola’s cross against the post!

HALF TIME – CT City 1 Ajax CT 0

45+1 Ajax should equalise as Nathan Paulse is free in the area, but he can’t make a proper connection with the ball!

37  – Given Mashikinya with an effort for City that curls just wide of target.

33 – Losper has the ball in  the back of the net for Ajax but  the referee rules the goal out for a foul on Vincent Kobola. Still 1-0 to City!

7 – Toriq Losper has a chance in the box for Ajax, but his shot is blocked and breaks for Nathan Paulse, but Ajax’s in-form striker is offside.

2 – Mokeke releases Lebogang Manyama, but his cross is cleared. Good start from CT City.

Hello and welcome to Phakaaathi’s live coverage of tonight’s Absa Premiership derby between Cape Town City and Ajax Cape Town.

City have made a good start to the new season, especially for a side that was only created just in time for the new campaign. Ajax have not won a match yet  this season, but will want to show who is boss in the Cape.
