A taxi passenger sustained moderate injuries from the crash.

A cow has been killed after being hit by a taxi on Modderfontein Road, near Tembisa, on Wednesday morning.

Only one passenger from the taxi sustained moderate injuries during the accident.

According to Max Cohen of Emer-G-Med, their paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 10am to find the minibus taxi on the side of the road, Kempton Express reported.

Photos taken at the scene show the front of the vehicle squashed inward, with the windscreen completely off. The passenger door was also slightly damaged, as well as the dashboard.

The passenger was treated and immobilised on the scene before being transported to hospital for further care.
