‘We prepared well for Kaizer Chiefs, and at least we came back with a point.’

Platinum Stars defender Siphiwe Mnguni is happy with the point his side managed to collect in their league tie with Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday night at the FNB Stadium.

Mnguni scooped the man-of-the-match award for his fine display against struggling Soweto giants Amakhosi.

“Firstly, I’d like to thank God for the opportunity that I got. I want to thank mostly my coaches who believed in me,” said Mnguni to the SuperSport television crew.

“Coming to the game, I think we did well, we came with a game plan. We prepared well for Kaizer Chiefs, and at least we came back with a point.

“We are going to go back and prepare, we want to take it one game at a time, you know.

“Yeah I’m happy with the point, we contained them. They were coming at us in the last 20 minutes, and we defended well, we kept the point. We are taking it to Rustenburg.”
