Mamelodi Sundowns new defender Anele Ngcongca admitted that he had talks with Kaizer Chiefs, but Downs were more keen to secure his signature.

“I have spoken to some teams, but I was really convinced by coach Pitso Mosimane. We’ve been talking since last year,” said Ngcongca in an interview with SABC.

“Yes I spoke to Chiefs, but Sundowns were more serious.”

The Bafana Bafana defender thanked the club for bringing him back in the country after nine years playing overseas. and he promised Masandawana supporters consistency in his play.

“I am simple player, I work hard. They can expect consistency. I am not a player who will play two games on a high and two games down. I like to stay on the same level. And of course I will do my best for the team.”
