Ten fishers suspects caught in Witbank.

The ten were arrested by members of the Hawks and Crime Intelligence after receiving information about the suspects who were fishing illegally.

Ten suspects appeared before the Vosman Magistrates’ Court in Mpumlanga, yesterday on charges of illegal fishing, Mpumalanga News reports.

This case was postponed to September 2 for the formal bail application.

The suspects are namely Meers Dumisane Alfred Lubisi, 52, Given Ngwajeleni Lubisi, 27, Mandla Richard Masanabo, 26, Bill Clinton Lubisi, 21, Zailina Phoshiwe Lubisi, 46, and four Mozabican nationals Meers Jaros Mayane, Elias Nkuna, Ada Bennet Malayi, Salomon Alberto Vilanculo and James Sebeka.

They were all remanded in custody.

The ten fishers suspects were arrested by members of the Hawks and Crime Intelligence after receiving information about the suspects who were fishing illegally at Bosman, Witbank.

They were found transporting bags of raw fish worth R4 million with two vans.
