The Clever Boys have brought in a lot of new players already, with the likes of Gabadinho Mhango, Darren Keet, Mogakolodi Ngele and Cuthbert Malajila all joining the club.
Mahlambi burst onto the scene last season, but suffered the serious injury in February, meaning he also missed the 2016 Rio Olympics. He seems unlikely to be back until the second half of the current season.
“From my perspective you are never done (in the transfer window),” said Hunt this week.
“You always need to try and improve … we are certainly looking at one or two options in a certain position and we will continue until 5pm on August 31.
“A lot depends on Mahlambi, he is a catalyst for us, the main man. The quicker we can get him back (the better), the problem is the timing, if it takes too long, we might need someone to fill in. We are monitoring it (the injury) daily.”
