This Spiderman can be spotted jogging on the streets of Centurion six days a week.

It is not every day that you see a fictional character from a movie come to life, and in Pretoria of all places.

For some time now, the residents of Centurion have reported spotting Spiderman in different locations, always jogging, reports the Centurion Rekord.

Some would stop to give him a high five while others took pictures.

The Centurion Rekord has discovered that Spiderman, a very adventurous jogger, is a local resident who makes it his mission to jog for 50km to 70km a week.

Like every movie, the story always begins with how the superhero got his powers. This local Spiderman, a 30-year-old realtor, Eric Nefdt, started jogging for a cause in just a Spiderman T-shirt. This then gave him the idea to jog in a complete Spiderman suit to raise awareness about children living with heart diseases or born with heart defects.

Nefdt said he and his wife Elanza loved children.

“I jog every morning for six days a week.”

He said the response of the public was overwhelming. “I get a lot of support from people all over … people from Pretoria have been and are very kind to the cause.”
