A man was found dead in the Zandfontein Cemetery in the west of Pretoria at about 10am on Thursday, August 25, reports the Pretoria Moot Rekord.
Police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said the 60-year-old man had a bullet wound to the head.
The body was discovered by passers-by who noticed a white Nissan X-trail vehicle parked inside the cemetery.
“Police were alerted, and on their arrival they found the man with a bullet wound to his head,” said Moloto.
A firearm believed to have been used in the murder was found on the scene.
“The motive of the murder is still unknown. The name of the deceased will be withheld until the family was informed.”
Police are investigating.
