Tzaneen police in Limpopo are still on the hunt for the four armed suspects who attacked two security guards and stole a number of items to the estimated value of R300 000 at Sapekoe Middlekop.
“It is alleged that on Tuesday evening between 9pm and 11pm, the suspects ordered the security guards to lie down at gunpoint and robbed them of two cellphones,” said Lieutenant-Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.
“Eight chainsaws, six digging forks, 28 litres of diesel, 7 car batteries, 6 car tyres, compressor, generator, 2 car jacks, toolbox, 20 litres of oil, and a Nissan canopy were also stolen,” added Ngoepe.
The suspects also attempted to steal a car but failed before they fled in an unknown car, Letaba Herald reported.
