This comes after Dikwena beat SuperSport United 1-0 in their opening match of the season at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Wednesday night.
Dikwena played most of the match with one man down after the red card of Siphamandla Mlilo. But Mzimela, who was awarded the Man-of–the-Match, pulled some great saves to ensure that Stars bagged all three points on the night.
“I’m thankful to have been part of the team that played in the first game of the league. Our preseason training was good, so is our team spirit. And the game we played before the season opened against Orlando Pirates is one of the reasons we played well. It was a good game and it gave us a lot of confidence. I did well on that game too. That is why I was able to be on top of my game again on this match,” said Mzimela.
The shot-stopper said they were looking to get their hands on one of the trophies this season, with the first task being MTN8 against Chippa United at home on Saturday.
“We would like to get one of the trophies in the season. We have a game against Chippa United in the MTN8 on Saturday, and that is where we would like to start.”
