A Johannesburg woman was arrested at Cape Town International Airport on Wednesday after being caught trying to smuggle Tik with an estimated street value of R5.4 million.
Captain FC van Wyk said the 26-year-old woman from Wanderers, in Johannesburg, arrived in Cape Town on the 9.40pm flight from East London.

“After the passengers had collected their luggage from the carousel, the border police members conducted random stop-and-search operations.
“When searching the suitcase of the woman, they found numerous parcels wrapped in tin foil, and further examination led to the discovery of Tik with an estimated street value of R5.4million, which was promptly seized,” said Van Wyk.
Police station commander at the Cape Town International Airport Colonel Anton Olivier commended the members of the border police for their vigilance and a job well done in seizing this large single consignment of drugs.
The woman is expected to appear in the Khayelitsha Priority Crimes Court tomorrow (Friday) on charges of drug dealing.
