Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt says his target for the season is to collect more points than they did last season.

The Clever Boys recorded a rare win against Kaizer Chiefs at the Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday night in their opening game of the 2016/2017 season.

Wits walked away with a 2-1 victory over Amakhosi with goals from Elias Pelembe and Thulani Hlatshwayo.

“We lost both games to Chiefs last season. We didn’t deserve to draw tonight. For us we need to make more points than we made last season, that’s important.

“To be fair I thought we controlled the game and could have made it really safe with the final ball especially in the first half,” said Hunt.

“They (Chiefs) are a good side and they play football but we did what we had to do and we move forward.”
