Johan Smith (45) believes his late mother’s watchful eye saved his life last week, reports the Lowvelder.
He crashed into low-hanging wires while riding his motorbike along a road in the Lowveld.
“It sounds strange, but I believe my mother protected me. I could feel her with me,” he told Lowvelder.
Smith, whose mother died last year, is a resident of Randburg in Johannesburg but he was visiting the Lowveld to help with the Clover bike tour. He was going to stay a little longer in the Lowveld, but after the incident, he decided to rather go back home.
