N2 accident claims life of KwaDukuza student

The second-year law student was on his way to write an examination.

 KwaZulu-Natal student Mickaylan Naicker, the son of a well-known man, Tarzan Naicker, in KwaDukuza, died after his car rolled on the N2 before the Tongaat Toll Plaza.

The 21-year-old was on his way to Varsity College in Durban to write an examination, North Coast Courier reported.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst, the young man went cardiac arrest, but he was successfully resuscitated  and was transported to hospital in a critical condition.

Mickaylan passed away at 4pm on Thursday afternoon.

Mickaylan’s uncle Gideon Pillay said the family was devastated.

“Mickaylan was the youngest of three siblings. He was a second year law student and had a bright future ahead of him.

“We thought he would pull through, but he had a bad head injury. His skull was cracked.”

Mickaylan’s funeral will be held tomorrow at 10.30am the Stanger Sungam Hall.
