Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala has advised his teammates to learn from the mistakes they made last season.

Chiefs’ performed below par last season, finishing the season without silverware after reaching the Telkom Knockout and MTN 8 finals.

The former skipper is worried the team isn’t scoring as many goals as they should be.

“We must try to minimise our mistakes. I think going forward we should just play our hearts out. We must make sure we win each and every game,” Tshabalala told The Sowetan.

“Everyone is looking forward to the new season. It is going to be difficult in a sense that no one is guaranteed a start because of the hard work the players have been putting in preseason.

“We need to be more clinical because we do create goal-scoring chances. It is a worrying factor that we are not converting enough.”
