The Buccaneers face the Clever Boys in the top eight competition for the third time in a row.

Pirates will face Wits in the quarterfinals of the top eight competition on August 27, 2016, as both teams vie for a semifinal berth and a chance to win the first trophy of the new season.

The Buccaneers face the Clever Boys in the top eight competition for the third time in a row, having played against them in the past two seasons. The returning captain is not worried about their opponents, as he aims to stir the Pirates ship to silverware.

“Playing Bidvest Wits is like a formality for us because we have played Bidvest Wits for the past two seasons in the MTN8, so this is like a formality, but what is key for us it to just go out there and do our job because this is our 80th anniversary season, therefore we want to create history by winning trophies this season,” Manyisa told the club’s website.

“No we are not under pressure, but the fact that we did not win any trophies last season is on the back of our minds, and we want to remedy that scenario this season for the Club and for our supporters, concluded Manyisa.”
