Police are hunting down the third suspect.

Two KwaZulu-Natal men alleged to have rented a luxury vehicle from an OR Tambo International Airport-based car rental company are due to appear again in Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court to face a charge of theft.

According to police, Boy Hamilton Zwane, 49, and Bongani Ndlovu, 26, rented the luxury vehicle late last month but failed to return it when it was due, Kempton Express reported.

They were hunted down and eventually arrested in Newcastle this week by the police’s detective task team based at the airportt. A third suspect is still at large.

The two have been remanded in custody and are due in court again on August 23 for bail application.

Their arrest brings to three the number of people to have been brought to book for the theft of vehicles belonging to car rental companies in the past three months.

In June this year the same task team, whose core mandate is to investigate all sorts of crime and acts of corruption committed within the OR Tambo Airport vicinity, arrested David Sisekelo Nkwanyana for a similar crime.

At the time of his arrest he had already been wanted for not returning two vehicles and was in the process of renting a third one at Lanseria Airport when the police pounced on him.
