Pretoria doctor attacked in armed robbery

The robbers apparently followed the doctor after he made a withdrawal at a bank.

Investigations are ongoing after a doctor at Medicross Pretoria North was allegedly attacked by three armed robbers.

Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela said the attack and robbery took place outside the medical centre on Burger Street on Tuesday, Rekord North reported.

“It appears the suspects, driving a cream white Toyota Cressida, followed one of the doctors at the centre from a bank where he made a cash withdrawal,” said Makhubela.

He said when the victim exited the premises, he was approached by the suspects and unknown amount of money was stolen. The robbers fled the scene in the Toyota.

“We are still investigating. No arrests have yet been made,” said Makhubela.
