Free State Stars have signed SuperSport United left back Brandon Dean, as they look to bolster the squad ahead of the 2016/17 season.

“The coach was impressed by his displays at training, and Stars offered him a contract,” said a source close to Stars.

The 21-year-old defender was signed for Matsatsantsa a Pitori by Cavin Johnson in 2014 but found it hard to get regular game time, especially after Johnson was given the boot.

After SuperSport signed Keegan Ritchie from Kaizer Chiefs, Dean decided to go and try his luck at Ea Lla Koto.

The defender will now be hoping to get regular game time under new Stars coach Denis Lavagne.
