Chicken Inn central defender Teenage Hadebe is on a week-long trial at Kaizer Chiefs.

Hadebe is believed to have started training with Amakhosi Monday morning as he looks to impress coach Steve Komphela to make his stay at Naturena permanent.

If he signs, he will be the third Chicken In player at Chiefs after Amakhosi signed Mitchelle Katsvairo and Edmore Chirambadare during the current transfer period.

Amakhosi are looking to add cover to their defence after signing Ramahlwe Mphahlele.

Chiefs resident defender Erick Mathoho sustained an ankle injury while on national duty in the Rio Olympics and could be out for a while.

Gibson Mahachi, the soccer agent who facilitated Mitchelle Katsvairo and Chirambadare’s deals, confirmed that Hadebe was training with Kaizer Chiefs.

“Hadebe is a good defender with a good body and skill. He left Harare on Sunday and will spend a week at Chiefs. I am confident that he will do his best and impress the coaches at Chiefs,” Mahachi told the Chronicle in Zimbabwe.
