She is expected to win Wednesday’s race and Caster Semenya is losing no sleep over her ‘haters’.

With international media bringing up Semenya’s gender again, it is no surprise that the 25-year-old has now become so immune to negative press.

The favourite to win gold at the 800m race in Rio on Wednesday, Semenya is looking relaxed and happy as thousands of South Africans rally behind her. On Twitter, she has been tweeting a string of motivational posts, attesting to her positive mindset and attitude despite the international press once more focusing on her gender.

In one tweet, Semenya wrote: “You try to give me stress, I give you a heart attack, its a warning, try me.”

She also shared images of herself with her teammates and captioned an image of herself and Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula: “South African Powerhouse.”
