Police tracked and found the truck in the veld, where four suspects were offloading Fattis & Monis products.

Police in Johannesburg have on Monday confirmed the arrest of four men between the ages of 18 to 30 years while offloading spaghetti and macaroni from a hijacked truck by Johannesburg Flying Squad in Faraday, south of Johannesburg.

The white Scania truck was hijacked in Evaton on Sunday the same day the suspects were arrested.

“Suspects used a jamming device to disturb the tracker and later the tracking company located the truck in Johannesburg CBD,” said police spokesperson Captain Xoli Mbele in a statement.

Mbele said police were contacted, and they found the truck in the veld, where four suspects were offloading Fattis & Monis products. All the suspects were arrested and two jamming devices were recovered.

The suspects will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court.
